Curt was raised in rural Minnesota. His first engineering experience was as a teenager working to improve the regional ditch systems utilized to remove excess water from the farms. He has an a degree in Geological Engineering, with a groundwater emphasis, from the University of Minnesota, and holds professional engineering and professional geologist licenses in multiple jurisdictions. He has a strong background as a consultant in environmental engineering, specifically soil and groundwater remediation, and for the past 15 years has worked in Municipal Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Utility Management. He currently serves as a water quality consultant for the Farmer’s Reservoir and Irrigation Company, and will be taking over those tasks from Laurie Rink in 2019.
